Teaching Philosophy: I believe that the core to successful teaching and learning is in a safe and positive environment where a climate of trust is fostered between teacher and students. Clear ground rules allow students the opportunity to engage and perform without distraction. Alongside the consistent application of the rules, if the teacher seeks to promote inquiry led learning then participation for all students can be ensured. In my experience, students appreciate and thrive from a firm approach to lessons where they know they will be simultaneously challenged and supported to achieve. My experience as a teacher showed me that promoting positive behaviour in the classroom and also systematically applying the University Policy in case of misbehaving was a good way of maintaining a good atmosphere in the classroom. I can definitely say that working in Charmo University gave me confidence in my behavior management skills and yet my relationship with the students has always been positive, supportive and good-humored! A variety of teaching styles is used to suit the range of learning preferences and abilities that I encounter in class. Valuable data on students’ performance and ability must be considered to ensure effective teaching for each learner. A successful teacher is one who can be inspirational, motivating and accessible to the students, one who can make learning happen in a creative and entertaining way.Microbiology is a hugely important issue that I feel passionate about as it gives students the opportunity to consider the world around us and get to know other issues and its impact on the society, health and economic. Teaching Microbiology also gives me the chance to bring some of my personal interests into my teaching. My passion for science and discovering new challenges is a great source of inspiration to me in my professional life.
