Teaching Philosophy: "I believe that there are many essential elements that are conducive to learning. (1) The teacher's role is to act as a guide. (2) Students must have access to hands-on activities. (3) Students should be able to have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning. I used Student-centered learning which is a long overdue trend in education, thus in this module we are studying student-centered strategies which emphasize for each student’s interests, and abilities. Where these types of strategies have been actively adopted in tertiary programs, the evidence suggests that the students have developed greater skills for independent problem solving, critical thinking and reflective thinking. The approach has also increased their confidence in their knowledge and skills. Furthermore, this type of learning is student directed and owned, meaning the student has a stake in their education alongside parents and educators. Therefore, in this module we tried to show the role of this method in increasing student capability, improvement the educational teaching program and some difficulties in the teaching process.
